We are looking for travelers with an open mind and natural curiosity to see what is beyond.
We want to offer time, slowness, silence, community, kindship, humanity, like mindedness, togetherness, respect, listening, taking in the smells and sounds and a journey of discovery, enjoyment, personal growth.
Our guiding principles:
Concept: Active Ecotourism with Local Immersion
“Explore the world actively, stay with the locals, give back to communities.”
Core Idea:
Travelers explore destinations actively (cycling, hiking, trekking) while staying in locally owned accommodations—yurts, tea houses, homestays, casa particulares, guesthouses—supported by local guides, cooks, and transport providers.
Principles:
1. Active Travel: Bike tours, hiking treks, and multi-day routes from village to village.
2. Local Stays: Every night is spent in authentic, community-run lodgings (tea houses in Nepal, yurts in Kyrgyzstan, rondavels on the Wild Coast, casa particulares in Cuba, Agritourismo Sardinia.
3. Community Support: Local families and small businesses provide food, logistics, and cultural experiences.
4. Low Impact: Eco-conscious travel with minimal environmental footprint, focusing on slow travel instead of large infrastructure.
5. Cultural Exchange: Meals, stories, and traditions shared with hosts—travelers don’t just pass through; they connect.
Example Experiences
Cycling Across Kyrgyzstan → Supported by a local van and yurt camps, meals prepared by Kyrgyz families, cultural encounters (horse games, felt making).
Wild Coast Pondo Trail, South Africa → homestay-to-homestay, with local guides and Xhosa families hosting.
Cuba Bike & Stay → Cycling between towns, staying in casa particulares, with Cuban families providing meals.
Balkan Hiking Routes → Walking the Via Dinarica or Peaks of the Balkans, sleeping in village guesthouses, eating traditional food cooked by locals.
Your Unique Value
Authenticity: No big hotels, no mass tourism—only real people, real homes, and real food.
Empowerment: Money goes directly to families and communities.
Adventure with Meaning: Physical challenge paired with cultural reward.
Sustainability: Promotes responsible travel with low carbon footprint.
We hike, cycle and paddle more than we drive or fly on tours.
